Kyrls Quay

Cork City does not have many public open spaces, here, a square may consist of the widening of a pavement . We were concerned with clarifying the connection, via Cornmarket and the Millennium Bridge, to Shandon, and proposed a new Public Space at the end of Cornmarket on the Quay. The proposed building addressing the square were like a folding modesty screen to the ugly dominance of Paul Street Car Park on views from Cork Bridges.
