The proposal includes the creation of new visitor amenities serving the Greenway trailhead and beachfront. Amenities will include changing rooms, toilets and bicycle storage and a lifeguard station. A revived public realm allows space for festivals and events and interpretation and information point. Further back the village core is reconfigured to improve transport routes to the port. A new village green overlooked by a new terrace of houses and a hostel will provide renewed focus to this popular visitor destination.
